Annual Meeting - YAH Club, Longville 10:00 a.m.
Please plan to attend the Annual Meeting of your Lakes Assoc !
We will have our normal annual business meeting where your voice can be heard !  We will have information on opportunities for you to get involved in the Lakes Association - this is the time for you to step up and VOLUNTEER !  Dick Sternberg will speak on Invasive Species and Paula West be talking about Conservation Easements.

Annual Picnic

St Edwards Church Pavilion, Longville  11:00 a.m.
This is a time for you to come and meet your new neighbors and to renew old acquaintances. This is an informal time where you can discuss lake issues with the Board and your friends and neighbors and get involved in Lakes Association activities.
We are requesting a $5.00/person donation to offset the cost of the picnic.

Shoreland Buffer Zone Expo -  Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Deep Portage Learning Center (about five miles east of Hackensack.)  Program details are still being worked out, but there will be seminars to help people plan for and create a new shoreland native plant buffer zone or to maintain an existing one (identification and elimination of typical invasive species,etc.) and a number of exhibitors with helpful information.  The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to about 2:00 p.m..  An info with Q and A session on the new DNR shoreland rules is planned for the afternoon.  There will be a small fee (which will include lunch) to help defray expenses.  Pre-registration by August 1 is required.  Contact Jack Fitzgerald (218-682-2941 or jjfitz@tds.net) for more information and/or to pre-register.

Cabin succession planning and conservation easements discussed by Margaret Cronin, Attorney and Paula West, Leech Lake Area Watershed.  No fee to attend.
